Widow Jane Lucky Thirteen 13 Year Bourbon: A Hyper-Small-Batch Blend Aged a Minimum of 13 Years

Widow Jane Lucky Thirteen is a small-batch blend of straight bourbons aged a minimum of 13 years. Widow Jane says the aging is shaped by time and place: its barrels were influenced by the varying temperatures and humidity of where they started, then by their years in the distillery’s rickhouse in Red Hook, Brooklyn. The different positions in the rickhouse and the climate lead to subtle differences in flavor and strength, and the barrels come together in hyper-small batches, little more than a handful at a time. It’s non-chill filtered and proofed with pure limestone mineral water from the Rosendale Mines in New York, and the 2023 release is 93 proof (46.5% ABV).

The name nods to the 13 years in barrel, and the brand notes it’s one year more than its 12 Year. Widow Jane is based in Brooklyn and is Heaven Hill-owned.
