Old Forester 1870 Original Batch is crafted exclusively from a handpicked selection of barrels at our distillery in Louisville, KY. The bold and flavorful taste profile is reminiscent of a time when whiskey was crafted in small batches, barrel to barrel.

Reminiscent of 19th-century batching processes is a classic bourbon, Old Forester 1870 Original. Barrels from three warehouses each contains a batch of a different age.

Lightly filtered, the bourbon batches are combined and infused with spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves) and citrus fruits, offering a soft and sweet finish on the palate.

TASTING NOTES

AROMA
Clove notes spice up a medley of citrus fruits (orange, grapefruit, blood orange), all softened with a delicate, sweet, floral honeysuckle character.

TASTE
Baking spices (clove, cinnamon, nutmeg) flow into a citrus-fruit mix and shortbread sweetness.

FINISH
Soft, with lingering fruit and spice character.
