Each bottle is handcrafted, numbered, dated and sealed in wax, and every year the Cuervo family commissions a different Mexican artist to design the new collectible box for Reserva de la Familia.

- Reserva de la Familia starts with the finest 10-year old, hand-selected agave plants from the estate’s richest soil. Only the most flavorful inner portion of the agave’s piña (heart) is used.
- Reserva de la Familia is an extra-anejo Tequila (ultra-aged) which matures in barrels stored in the Cuervo family’s private cellar, which is constructed out of volcanic stones to create the perfect temperature and humidity conditions.
- As part of their continuing support of young Mexican artists, each year the Jose Cuervo family commissions a promising local artist to design original artwork for the handcrafted wooden box. Since 1995, Tequila drinkers have been introduced to these flourishing Mexican artists through Reserva de la Familia's unique packaging.

Jose Cuervo Reserva de la Familia Anejo Tequila - 100% Añejo. 100% Blue Agave. Aged in oak barrels for an average of 3 years. Final blend includes Tequila from reserves aged over 30 years. Only the estate’s finest 10-year-old agaves are hand-selected. Only the most flavorful inner portion of the agave’s piña (heart) is used. Vibrant, with a full, mellow flavor, combines floral, agave, vanilla and Cognac-like flavors.
