The base is Yellow Chartreuse, the monks’ secret recipe of 130 herbs, plants, and flowers dating to 1605, honeyed and gentle compared with the fiery Green. The V.E.P. is bottled at 42% ABV (84 proof), in a numbered, wax-sealed 1 liter bottle, and made in limited quantities. Wine Enthusiast scored it 96 points.
