How to Fix Mismatched Corporate Liquor Gifts

Liquor

A mismatched corporate gift may be the wrong spirit, recipient, price tier, message or delivery address. The safest response is to stop fulfillment, identify the mismatch and correct it privately before more packages leave.

Place affected orders on hold

Separate unshipped gifts and compare the recipient file with the approved order. Check names, addresses, opt-in choices, budget groups and personalization proofs.

Do not guess the recipient’s preference

Contact the program owner or recipient privately. Offer an equal-value alcohol-free choice and avoid asking for personal explanations. A preference record should be voluntary and limited to what is needed for fulfillment.

Correct the message and packaging

A perfectly chosen bottle can still feel wrong when it carries another person’s name or milestone. Reprint cards and outer sleeves rather than covering an error with a second label.

Use approved replacements

Match the original budget and gifting intent. Confirm bottle size, category, proof and availability before substitution. Do not replace a recipient’s chosen wine with a high-proof spirit simply because the price is similar.

Handle shipped errors promptly

Contact the recipient, apologize and arrange the appropriate resolution. Do not ask someone to forward alcohol to another person. Adult-signature and shipping restrictions make informal rerouting unsuitable.

Prevent repetition

Use one source-of-truth recipient sheet, unique order codes and a final approval sample. Lock the file before production and document who may authorize changes.

Review corporate ordering support and corporate gift options before the next campaign.
