The bottle is a collaboration of designer Fabien Baron, Macallan, and Lalique crystal, and only 1,750 decanters are to be produced this year. This whiskey contains over 25 flavor notes that include port, chocolate, brown sugar, wood spices, raisin, and smoke.

No. 6 brings together the art of The Macallan Whisky Maker with Lalique exquisite craftsmanship to create a stunning whisky encased in the finest, and most stylish, crystal decanter.

This rich, complex single malt takes its unique natural colour and character from the first fill Spanish sherry seasoned oak casks handcrafted by the master craftsmen of Jerez de la Frontera, the home of sherry. The cooperage exclusively creates Spanish oak casks which, once seasoned with sherry, give the unique, rich flavour of this exquisite whisky. It is from this one single cooperage that these casks are taken in order to ensure the infinite quality and character at the heart of The Macallan.

*An enticing, rich dark walnut colour delivers classic Macallan character, a celebration of richness, spice and dried fruit with a layer of heady orange groves.

COLOR
Spanish Sunset

NOSE
Raisin, dates and figs dominate whilst sultana and toffee apples add texture and depth. The weight of flavour from the raisins is dark and rich with great viscosity. Dry ginger and soft cinnamon hint at the edges the edges. Dark chocolate is majestic, vanilla sweetness lingers in the background.

PALATE
Heavy and sumptuous. A rich fruit cake of raisin, dates and figs, apples, sultanas, orange then ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon and hints of clove. Oak notes are like velvet, soft and chic.

FINISH
Silky smooth with a long and full finish.
