Description
Description
Aging was supposed to smooth this tequila out, but instead, it turned Gran Patrón Piedra into something untouchable. The moment it hits the glass, you know this is no ordinary extra añejo. Made from 100% Weber Blue Agave, slowly crushed using the centuries-old tahona process, and aged over three years in French Limousin and new American oak barrels, this tequila doesn’t just develop flavor—it absorbs character, crafting a depth most spirits can only dream of.
From the first sip, ripe fruit, roasted agave, and rich vanilla take center stage, unfolding into waves of dark cocoa, toasted oak, and subtle baking spice that dance across the palate. Every note is deliberate, refined, and impossibly smooth, leading to a finish so elegant, so endlessly lingering, that it feels like an experience in itself.
This isn’t just tequila—it’s a masterclass in craftsmanship and patience. Some bottles are meant to be enjoyed. This one demands to be savored.
Gran Patrón Piedra, it all starts with 100% Weber Blue agave grown in the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, of which only the best are selected for this, Gran Patrón Platinum and Gran Patrón Burdeos. The agave is slowly steam-cooked before being crushed with a two-ton Tahona.
The Tahona is a traditional method that utilizes a two-ton volcanic stone wheel to extract the sugary juice from the agave, which is then fermented, distilled, and aged in barrels. Piedra, which means “stone” in Spanish, is created entirely from the traditional Tahona process – a process that few tequilas are made with anymore.
