Milam & Greene Straight Rye Whiskey Port Cask Finished
Milam & Greene brings two unique American stories full circle with its Port Finished Rye whiskey. Straight Rye Whiskey, produced in Indiana, is transported to Texas where it is batched in the Blanco rickhouse and finished in old Port wine casks. Rich, smooth and creamy with a deliciously spiced finish; this whiskey provides a fantastic new twist on an old spirit.
Composed of two parts Indiana rye whiskey and one part Texas corn, the spirit is a blend of mash batches brought from Indiana to Texas where it is batched in the rickhouse and finished in old Port wine casks. Blanco’s warm summers and cool winters add depth and complexity, complementing earthy pepper notes with a long, smooth finish. Aged for two years in 53 gallon new American oak barrels that have been charred.
