Michter's American Whiskey is the US★1 Unblended American Whiskey from Michter’s, distilled and bottled in Kentucky. It is produced in small batches and bottled at 83.4 proof, or 41.7% ABV.

Unlike bourbon or rye, which must mature in new charred oak to use those category names, Michter’s American Whiskey is aged in bourbon-soaked American white-oak barrels. The previously used cooperage reduces fresh-char intensity and supports a softer profile built around butterscotch, vanilla, caramel and fruit.

The term “unblended” on this product does not mean single barrel. It indicates American whiskey without neutral grain spirits added to create a blended-whiskey category.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Butterscotch and vanilla lead, followed by caramel, dried fruit and soft used-oak character.
