Traditionally a 3-year-old expression, McCarthy's has recently delved deeper into aged whiskies. Following last year's release of a 6-year-old variant, now comes the Oloroso finished expression. Each release seems to surpass the last, promising an even richer and more complex flavor profile.
TASTING NOTES
Smoky, smoked meat and barbecue on the nose, sooty with charcoal notes reminiscent of a Laphroaig, fruit notes of cherry and apple, spice, bitter chocolate, and campfire embers.
