Mad River Distillers of Vermont is putting a new twist on a traditional New England spirit.  Their First Run Rum is made from pure cane sugar, not molasses, and crystal clear Vermont water and it is then aged in American Oak barrels.  The result is both smoother and more nuanced than most molasses-based rum.  This rum is great for your favorite cocktail, over ice or straight up like a sipping whiskey.  The perfect rum for a cold winter evening.
