Leblon Reserva Especial: Brazilian Cachaça Aged in New Limousin French Oak
Leblon Reserva Especial is an aged Brazilian cachaça made from fresh sugarcane juice and distilled in single batches in an alambique copper pot still. After distillation, the spirit matures for up to two years in high-grade new Limousin French-oak barrels.
The new French oak adds toffee, vanilla, spice, and nutty depth while allowing the fresh-cane character to remain visible. Leblon blends the matured barrels to create a smooth, complex cachaça intended for neat pours as well as premium cocktails. The barcode-matched bottle is listed at 40% ABV.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Fresh sugarcane, vanilla, toffee, French oak, and light spice. Palate: Caramel, honey, pine nuts, cane sweetness, toasted wood, and gentle pepper. Finish: Smooth and warming, with vanilla, nuts, spice, and lingering sugarcane.
