It re-creates one of the more than 3,000 collectible decanter designs Beam released from the 1940s to the 1990s, and the brand says the pin was a personal favorite of Jim Beam himself, who gave bottles to friends, family, and business partners.

The liquid honors the original too: aged in the same 9-story warehouses, eight years old, and bottled at 86.8 proof (43.4% ABV), the same proof as the original Pin release. The brand describes a deep golden amber color, a nose of crisp oak with baked bread and toffee, a palate with subtle sweetness up front and rich toasted oak with light char, and a warm, clean finish with a hint of sweetness.
