How Hibiki 30 Year Is Made
This whisky is composed of malt whisky from Yamazaki and Hakushu, along with grain whisky from Chita, each matured at least 30 years in a variety of casks, including prized Japanese Mizunara oak. That extended maturation gives Hibiki 30 Year a depth and complexity few other blended whiskies can match, with the Mizunara influence contributing a delicate, exotic woodiness distinct from the Western oak used elsewhere in the blend. It has earned recognition including a Double Gold Medal at the 2025 International Spirits Challenge.
