Harlen D. Wheatley CLIX Vodka

Product Description

CLIX Vodka: A Decade in Pursuit of the Perfect Spirit

Harlen D. Wheatley CLIX Vodka is the ultra-premium vodka envisioned by Buffalo Trace Master Distiller Harlen Davis Wheatley and perfected by a dedicated team of craftsmen over the course of a decade. The name "CLIX," the Roman numeral for 159, pays tribute to the astonishing number of separate distillations required to create this exceptionally pure spirit. It stands today as one of the most exclusive vodkas in the world, with only enough produced for roughly 2,000 bottles.

How Harlen D. Wheatley CLIX Vodka Is Made

CLIX is crafted from a blend of soft red winter wheat, plump rye, yellow dent corn, and malted barley, distilled using a combination of column and pot stills across 159 separate distillations, an almost unheard-of number in vodka production. Once distillation was complete, the finished spirit rested in cool, dark stainless steel tanks for twelve months to ensure the smoothest possible finish. That extraordinary process yielded just 332 gallons of vodka, enough for approximately 2,000 bottles worldwide. It's bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof) and presented in a custom hand-crafted decanter.

Food Pairings

The clean, refined character of CLIX Vodka pairs well with fresh oysters, caviar, or a simple citrus-cured seafood dish. Its smooth texture also complements light canapés or a cheese board built around soft, mild cheeses.
