Delirio Mezcal Reposado 750ml is an artisanal reposado mezcal from Oaxaca, made from Espadín agave and rested for three to four months in white-oak barrels. It is mezcal rather than tequila, despite the product’s legacy Shopify classification.

Delirio states that the agave is grown for approximately eight to ten years. The piñas are cooked for three days in a conical underground stone oven heated with wood and volcanic, river and quarry stone, then milled and double distilled in copper stills.

The short white-oak resting period adds gentle vanilla, spice and rounded wood character without completely covering the roasted agave, smoke, herbs and minerals found in the joven distillate.

Nose: Roasted agave and soft smoke are joined by vanilla, citrus, herbs and lightly toasted oak.

Palate: Cooked agave, pepper and mineral notes develop with mild caramel, wood spice and a rounded smoky sweetness.
