Deep Eddy Original is a corn vodka made in small batches in Austin, Texas, from high-quality corn. It’s distilled ten times in a column still for a cleaner, smoother spirit, then gently filtered over charcoal so a subtle sweetness stays in the finished vodka, and finished with Texas water. It’s bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof), and because it’s made from 100% corn, the brand says it’s naturally gluten-free.

Deep Eddy started in 2010 with Sweet Tea, and the Original followed in 2011 and became the base for the flavored line. It’s named for Deep Eddy Pool in Austin, the oldest spring-fed swimming pool in Texas, and it’s part of Heaven Hill Brands. The brand’s slogan is “Vodka is for fun,” and the Original is easy to mix: it sits well in a Martini, over ice with soda and a squeeze of lime, or in a Moscow Mule.
