Brenne Estate Cask Whiskey: French Single Malt Matured in Limousin Oak and Cognac Casks

Brenne Estate Cask Whiskey is a French single malt produced from locally grown organic barley and twice distilled in copper alembic stills. It matures for a minimum of six years in a combination of new French Limousin oak and previously used Cognac casks.

The cask program gives the whisky a fruit-forward, pastry-like style that differs from heavily smoky or grain-spiced whiskey. Brenne bottles Estate Cask at 40% ABV, emphasizing creamy texture, tropical fruit, vanilla, caramelized sugar, and warm baking spice.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Almond, vanilla, orchard fruit, dark chocolate, and French pastry. Palate: Banana, tropical fruit, crème brûlée, burnt caramel, cinnamon, and clove. Finish: Creamy and warming, with fruit, caramel, and soft spice.
