The Hip-Hop Blend is the seventh release in 2XO's ongoing Collectibles Series, and its most personal yet. Created by renowned whiskey blender Dixon Dedman in partnership with The Sugarhill Gang, this limited-edition bourbon pays tribute to "Rapper's Delight," the group's 1979 single widely credited with introducing rap music to a mainstream audience. The label reproduces the iconic record artwork, an ode to both the song's impact on the music industry and Dixon's own love of old-school hip-hop.

Every 2XO release is built on Dixon's pioneering "Two Times Oak" philosophy, in which select barrels undergo a second maturation to build additional depth and sweetness. The Hip-Hop Blend brings together two proprietary mash bills, a high-rye (35%) bourbon and a moderate-rye (18%) bourbon, with the high-rye portion double-barreled into new #3 and #4 charred oak barrels for nine to twelve months.
