The 20th edition of Heaven Hill’s Parker’s Heritage Collection is a 14-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled barrel proof at 118 proof (59% ABV) and non-chill filtered. It’s drawn from just 100 barrels distilled between October 2011 and January 2012 and aged across four rickhouses, and it’s made with rye backset, a portion of the liquid left after distillation that’s reused in the next fermentation, a technique the late Parker Beam long championed. Master Distiller Conor O’Driscoll says it “reflects that belief,” using backset to create a bourbon “with remarkable depth, balance and spice.”

Each year the collection honors Parker Beam, Heaven Hill’s sixth-generation Master Distiller Emeritus, with a different whiskey, and a portion of proceeds goes to the ALS Association in his memory. It’s made from Heaven Hill’s traditional mash bill (78% corn, 10% rye, 12% malted barley), and the 20th edition marks two decades of the series. It’s a limited, allocated release, and each edition is a one-time bottling, which makes it a bottle for collectors, Heaven Hill fans, and anyone marking a milestone.
