The Fall 2024 Old Fitzgerald is the 14th national release in Heaven Hill’s Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond decanter series, one of the most sought-after annual bourbon releases. It’s aged 11 years, from barrels distilled in the fall of 2013 and bottled in the fall of 2024, and bottled at 100 proof as Bottled-in-Bond requires: the product of one distillery in one distilling season, aged at least four years in a bonded warehouse. It’s a wheated bourbon (68% corn, 20% wheat, 12% malted barley) made at Heaven Hill’s Bernheim Distillery in Louisville.

The bottle is half the draw. It’s an ornate decanter inspired by a 1950s Old Fitzgerald diamond decanter, with the black label used on every Fall edition, a glass topper, and a faux tax strip showing the production and bottling dates. The label also carries the key motif, a nod to the brand’s slogan since the 1940s, “Your key to hospitality.” Heaven Hill bought Old Fitzgerald in 1999 and has kept the tradition of packaging it in decanters. Master Distiller Conor O’Driscoll called this release “a masterclass in tradition and craftsmanship.” It was released on an allocated basis in 750ml.
