Hibiki Japanese Harmony 2026 Chiso Limited Edition: A Kimono House Designs the Bottle
Hibiki Japanese Harmony 2026 Limited-Edition, Chiso Collaboration puts one of Japan’s most elegant whiskies in a bottle designed by one of its oldest kimono houses. Chiso was founded in Kyoto in 1555 and has preserved the Kyo-Yuzen silk-dyeing technique used in kimono making. For this edition, Chiso redesigned Hibiki’s signature 24-faceted bottle, which represents Japan’s 24 traditional micro-seasons, with floral motifs based on tachibana, kiri, sakura, ume, and tsubaki, in gold, crimson, emerald, indigo, and blush.
The whisky inside is the standard Hibiki Japanese Harmony, unchanged: a blend of malt and grain whiskies from Suntory’s Yamazaki, Hakushu, and Chita distilleries, bottled at 43% ABV. The limited edition is the packaging. It’s the latest in Hibiki’s artist collaborations, following Eriko Horiki and Hiroshi Senju, and it launched on October 1, 2026, in the US and other global markets.
The Chiso Collaboration
Chiso and Suntory also created a behind-the-scenes film and a Chiso kimono installation, planned for New York’s JFK Terminal 1 later this year. The release is meant to join two Japanese crafts, the art of whisky blending and the art of the kimono, in a collectible bottle.

Tasting Notes
From Suntory’s tasting notes for Hibiki Japanese Harmony.
Color: Amber.
Nose: Rose and lychee, with a hint of rosemary, mature woodiness, and sandalwood.
Palate: Honey-like sweetness, candied orange peel, and white chocolate.
Finish: Subtle, tender, and long, with a hint of Mizunara oak.
Food Pairings
The honey, orange, and white chocolate pair well with sushi and sashimi, tempura, and delicate fish. It also goes with white chocolate desserts, fresh fruit, and mild cheeses.
Serving Suggestions
Suntory says Hibiki Japanese Harmony is best enjoyed over a hand-carved “Marugori” ice ball, a slow-melting sphere that keeps the whisky cold without diluting it fast. It’s also lovely neat, with a little water, or in a highball. Pour it into a tulip glass to catch the floral aromas.
