Green Spot Château Montelena Irish Whiskey is a limited-release Irish pot still whiskey finished for 12 months in French oak Zinfandel wine casks from Napa Valley’s Château Montelena. The finish layers ripe red fruit and gentle wine-cask sweetness over Green Spot’s familiar orchard-fruit character and pot still spice.
Aromas of red apple, pear, vanilla and toasted oak lead into pomegranate, cranberry and maraschino cherry notes. The palate balances creamy sweetness with citrus zest, red berries, marzipan and warming spice before a lingering, lightly dry oak finish.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Red apple, ripe pear, vanilla, white chocolate, pomegranate and cranberry with polished oak.
Palate: Orchard fruit, red berries, citrus, marzipan and pot still spice framed by Zinfandel-cask sweetness.
Finish: Long and gently dry with toasted oak, fruit and lingering spice.
