Distilled using 100% Pot Still Rum in Jamaica, it boasts an ester level ranging from 60 to 119 ppm, ensuring a rich and complex flavor profile. After spending a minimum of three years maturing in ex-bourbon barrels on the island, the rum is then transported to Kentucky, where it undergoes an additional two years of aging in ex-rye barrels.

The aging process in both bourbon and rye barrels imparts distinct American whiskey influences to the rum, creating a unique fusion of flavors. Despite these influences, the unmistakable funkiness characteristic of Jamaican distillate remains prominent upon nosing the spirit. The absence of added sugars, colors, or flavors, coupled with the decision to forgo chill filtering, ensures a pure and unadulterated expression of the rum.
