After a trip to Scotland, Master Tequilero José Valdez set out to answer a genuinely ambitious question: how do you combine the volcanic red soil of Mexico with the bourbon barrel tradition of the United States and the single malt sherry cask heritage of Spain, all in one bottle? "Balancing the journey from Mexico to Scotland and Spain required a great amount of taste testing," Valdez explained, "and in the end, we've created an incredible agave-forward spirit, double aged in American oak and Spanish white oak. It's truly the single malt of tequila and unlike any you've ever tasted before." Affectionately known by Valdez and his team as "The Single Malt of Tequila," Roble Fino, meaning "fine oak," is exactly that.

Every bottle begins with Partida's acclaimed Reposado, itself rested a minimum of six months in medium-toasted ex-Jack Daniel's whiskey barrels. From there, Roble Fino goes further, finished an additional two months in ex-single malt Oloroso sherry casks previously used by Macallan, sourced from Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. That layered aging, bourbon barrel character marrying with sherry-seasoned single malt casks, gives Roble Fino a genuinely whiskey-adjacent complexity while never losing the bright, cooked agave character that defines Partida's tequila at its core. Produced at NOM 1502 in the Highlands of Jalisco from estate-grown Blue Weber agave, this is a limited release built for tequila drinkers who want to explore what whiskey barrel influence brings to the category.
