Tullamore D.E.W. 12 Year Old Special Reserve is a carefully crafted blend of old Irish whiskeys. Like the original, it’s a triple-distilled triple blend of all three types of Irish whiskey (pot still, malt, and grain), but it has a high proportion of pot still and malt whiskeys, which gives it more body and complexity. The whiskeys are matured for 12 to 15 years in a combination of ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, and it’s bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof).

Tullamore D.E.W. is named for Daniel E. Williams, the distillery’s general manager, whose initials are on every bottle. The distillery was founded in 1829 in Tullamore, County Offaly, and the whiskey is made today in the new Tullamore Distillery, which returned production to the town. The brand describes a multi-award-winning whiskey with chocolate notes, spice, and a robust yet creamy body.
