Clase Azul Día de Muertos Trascender 2026 opens a new series of Día de Muertos creations from the brand, each conceived as its own unique interpretation of the tradition. It follows five years of the celebrated Nuestros Recuerdos series (2021–2025), and with Trascender, Clase Azul begins something new. Rooted in ancestral beliefs, this edition evokes the soul's transformation and its luminous journey toward the sun, a theme carried through both the liquid inside and the hand-crafted decanter that holds it. Limited to just over 10,000 bottles worldwide, Trascender continues Clase Azul's tradition of pairing genuinely collectible packaging with serious, thoughtfully aged tequila.

How Trascender Is Made

This añejo tequila is a blend of two tequilas, each aged more than 30 months: one finished in casks that previously held Champagne, the other aged in American whiskey casks. According to the brand, the Champagne casks leave behind an imprint that carries through into the tequila as buttery aromas, toasted nut, and fresh bread, a genuinely unusual pairing of agave's patience with Champagne's own history. It's bottled at 40% ABV in a 1-liter ceramic decanter.

The Decanter

The hand-painted ceramic decanter features a glaze that transitions from deep blue to vibrant magenta. At its base, a composition of traditional flowers evokes the floral paths believed to guide souls during Día de Muertos. Two marigolds represent the soul in transformation and its passage from the physical world to the spiritual realm, while small skulls and delicate droplets allude to the duality between life and death. Rising from the flowers, 24-karat gold brushstrokes represent the soul's luminous journey toward the sun.
