The world’s first single barrel bourbon, Blanton’s Original is crafted by hand and then married in a variety of old oak barrels. Synergy between wood, time and liquid results in a unique expression that is still true to what Colonel Albert B. Blanton first crafted in 1964.

TASTING NOTES

A deep, satisfying nose of nutmeg and spices. Powerful dry vanilla notes in harmony with hints of honey amid strong caramel and corn. A medium finish composed of returning corn and nutmeg flavors.

I could not be more pleased I recently order a bottle of Blanton’s Bourbon from Quality Liquor Store and I’m excited to tell you about my experience. I ordered online but only after I visited the store because I was skeptical having never done business with these people. They didn’t have a bottle at the store because the stuff is next to impossible to find, especially in my beloved Virginia. Fortunately, I found myself in San Diego on business and I stopped by one of their stores. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They encouraged me to go to the website to order and that’s what I did. I received regular updates on the delivery every step of the way. My Wife’s birthday was coming up and this was one of her main presents. I called the number and spoke with the clerk who assured me that my order would arrive in time for her birthday. It actually arrived 2 full days early! That gave me time to properly wrap her present. They took such great care with the packaging, there was no possible way that this bottle was going to arrive damaged, and it was factory perfect. I could have thrown it off the tallest building on the Planet and nothing could have happened to it. Well done my new friends! Here’s a little anecdote to the story. I called the distillery in Kentucky to get a Blanton’s display and the cork stoppers that spell Blanton’s. The stopper with the N had a broken tail on the horse. Wanna guess which stopper was on the bottle I received from Quality Liquor? I kid you not, it was the N! My Wife is over the Moon and you folks made me look like her HERO! Great… but…. I purchased two bottles. One of the bottles had leakage. Appeared to be very little but nonetheless, wet around neck and classic bourbon smell upon opening.
