What to Do When Corporate Event Liquor Arrives Damaged

company event

Damaged bottles can disrupt an event, but a clear response plan prevents a shipping problem from becoming a safety or service problem.

1. Do not serve affected items

Keep leaking, cracked or contaminated bottles away from the service area. Wear protective gloves when handling broken glass and place the package somewhere guests cannot access it.

2. Document everything

Photograph the outer carton, shipping label, internal packaging and every damaged item before disposal. Record quantities and product names.

3. Contact the retailer promptly

Send the order number, photos and a concise description. Keep packaging until the retailer or carrier confirms whether it is needed for the claim.

4. Protect the event plan

Prioritize replacement of core bar items, simplify the menu and use backup bottles only when they fit the intended service. Do not substitute premium or restricted products without approval from the organizer.

5. Review future deliveries

Schedule alcohol to arrive several days before the event, inspect immediately and avoid leaving temperature-sensitive items unattended.

Review our shipping information before placing a time-sensitive event order.
