A declined or failed checkout does not always mean the card is invalid. Address mismatches, bank security checks, browser problems and repeated attempts can all interrupt an online liquor order.
Check the information once
Confirm the cardholder name, billing address, postal code, expiration date and security code. The billing address should match the information held by the card issuer, even when the order ships elsewhere.
Do not retry rapidly
Several attempts can create multiple pending authorizations or trigger additional fraud checks. Wait for the checkout result, review your bank activity and contact the card issuer if the payment continues to fail.
Try basic browser fixes
- Refresh the cart and confirm the items are still available.
- Disable a VPN if it is changing the apparent location.
- Use a current browser with cookies and JavaScript enabled.
- Remove an expired discount code.
- Try the secure checkout again only after reviewing the details.
Confirm the order can be shipped
A payment may not complete when the destination, recipient or cart does not meet checkout requirements. Verify the shipping address, adult recipient details and destination eligibility.
Contact support safely
Share the order attempt time, error message, cart contents and the last four digits of the card only when requested through an approved channel. Never send a full card number or security code by ordinary email, text or chat.
Watch for pending charges
A pending authorization is not always a completed order. Check whether an order confirmation was issued before placing another order. Your bank can explain when an authorization is expected to fall away.
