Knee Deep & Kern River Imperial Double IPA

A collaboration, this Imperial Double IPA from craft brewers Knee Deep and Kern River both Brewers who favor hops heavy beers.

It's seriously big. Huge in hops aromas, as you pop the cap and pour. The color is clear, golden with a small,white froth on top. The hops continue to shine, balanced with zesty grapefruit, sweet honeydew melon and juicy pineapple with bitter floral notes and a hint of caramel. The mouth-feel is clean and crisp with not too much carbonation. It is light, mango and melon, layered with malts and caramel. To finish up there's a floral bitterness with a touch of added, spice which then tapers off into a lasting, pleasing sweetness.
