The story goes that Deschutes was experimenting, and in doing so they put some beer gone astray into pinot barrels, mixed in some Brettanomyces, then waited around for some 3 years. This because known as the Green Monster, nobody wanted to mess with it, but at the end of the transformation they decided to incorporate slight cherry and dried fruit aroma and you out comes this amazingly limited sour beer.
