Craigellachie 33 Year Small Batch Scotch is a limited official distillery release selected for the Exceptional Cask Collection. This series is reserved for unusual single-cask, double-cask and small-batch whiskies chosen by the malt master from Craigellachie's warehouses.
The 33-year release was distilled in 1983 and issued in a very limited global quantity. Its mature profile retains Craigellachie's weighty, characterful spirit while developing exotic fruit, cedar, cereal depth and a polished, creamy finish.
Tasting Notes
Nose: papaya with black pepper, grilled pineapple, chamomile and rose water. Palate: cedarwood, exotic fruit, cereal complexity and rum-raisin ice cream. Finish: silky and creamy with lingering sweet almond.
Food Pairings
Pair with aged Comté, roasted almonds, pineapple tart, fruitcake, dark chocolate or lightly smoked duck.
