Mount Gay Rum Eclipse 750ml is the signature amber rum of Mount Gay, produced and bottled in Barbados. The blend combines rum from traditional copper pot stills and column stills, bringing together fuller-bodied character and lighter aromatic components.

Eclipse is matured in charred ex-American whiskey casks and bottled at 40% ABV, or 80 proof. Mount Gay treats it as the reference point for the house style—the balance of aroma, body and flavor against which the distillery’s other blends are developed.

The name commemorates the total solar eclipse visible from Barbados in 1910. This standard 750ml expression should not be confused with the separate Eclipse Navy Strength limited release, which is bottled at a much higher proof.
