Four Roses makes bourbon differently from most distilleries: it uses two mash bills (a lower-rye 75% corn / 20% rye / 5% malted barley, and a higher-rye 60% / 35% / 5%) fermented with five yeast strains, producing ten distinct bourbons. Small Batch combines OBSK (rye and baking spice), OBSO (rich fruit), OESK (baking spice), and OESO (rich fruit and vanilla). It’s bottled at 90 proof (45% ABV), underpinned by Four Roses’ signature mellow spice, at the Four Roses Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.
