Crafted by Barton 1792 Distillery, this bourbon begins with their high-rye recipe, aged for five to six years in new charred oak barrels to develop its foundational character. After this initial aging, the bourbon is transferred to Merlot casks, which previously held various wines or spirits from around the world. The additional maturation in these Merlot casks, lasting between one to four years, imparts a distinctive complexity and refinement to the bourbon.
