Suntory's blenders have described achieving the right balance as a genuine challenge, since Sakura cask character is strong enough to easily overpower a blend, and it took careful trial and error to find grain whiskies that let the Sakura influence unfold gradually rather than dominate. It's bottled at 43% ABV, with packaging that reflects the season through a traditional Japanese pattern and cherry blossom motif.
