Highland Park Vintage 1990 is a limited Orkney single malt created from whisky originally filled into 34 ex-bourbon casks in 1990. The distillery later transferred the whisky into sherry-seasoned European and American oak hogsheads and refill casks before selecting five casks for the final marriage.

The selected whisky was married in August 2023 and bottled at 44.9% ABV, with 1,219 hand-numbered bottles released. The profile balances mature orchard fruit, floral notes and vanilla with Highland Park's aromatic heathery peat.

Tasting Notes

Nose: ripe pear, grapefruit, geranium, violet and mandarin orange. Palate: creamy vanilla, crushed coconut, nutmeg and mature wood. Finish: long, elegant and gently smoky with heathery peat.
