Guffy has layered Zinfandel, Petite Sirah and Cabernet Sauvignon, for a heady and complex bouquet of blackberries, milk chocolate, black plums and exotic perfume that drill down to a dark, juicy core. This red blend brings all the roar of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah, and when blended with Malbec, produces a big, lush wine that finishes with smooth and surprisingly lush tannins. This wild child of a wine demands some wild foods as well, like fresh lake trout or salmon, buttered fiddleheads or Indian take-out.
