Product Description
Clase Azul Música: The Rhythm and Soul of Día de Muertos
Since 2021, Clase Azul México has released an annual series of five limited-edition creations, Nuestros Recuerdos, each an invitation to explore a different facet of Día de Muertos. The series began with Sabores ("Flavors") in 2021, followed by Colores ("Colors") in 2022 and Aromas ("Aromas") in 2023. Música ("Music"), the fourth and penultimate chapter, pays tribute to the enchanting rhythms and songs performed at ofrendas, the music that guides spirits home and celebrates the lives of loved ones who've passed.
For this release, Clase Azul's master distiller, Viridiana Tinoco, crafted a genuinely distinctive 26-month aging process. The añejo begins its life in American whiskey barrels before being divided into two separate batches, one finished in Scotch whisky casks from the Isle of Skye, the other from the Speyside region, before the two are blended back together into one exceptional spirit. It's a technique unlike almost anything else in tequila, bringing real Scotch-influenced depth to Clase Azul's signature agave character. Mexican illustrator David Espinosa, known as "el Dee," created a musical ensemble scene in lilac and gold on the back of the decanter's base, while the front is adorned with a 24-karat gold-plated ornament depicting a cheerful Catrina accordionist. Handmade in Tesistán at the artisan workshop Milagros de Latón, the decanter itself takes considerable time and skill to complete.
Released in a genuinely limited run of only 10,000 decanters worldwide, Música is a true collector's centerpiece, equally suited to display or to savor on a night meant for remembrance and celebration alike.

Serving Suggestions
Clase Azul Música is best enjoyed neat in a copita, a small, shallow glass designed to enhance tequila's aroma. Given its rarity and the ceremony behind its release, this is a tequila meant to be savored slowly, ideally shared at a table decorated for remembrance.
