Woodson U of M Rose-in-Mouth Limited Edition Whiskey

Product Description

Woodson U of M Rose-in-Mouth Limited Edition Bourbon: A Michigan Football Commemorative You Can Pour

The Woodson Whiskey University of Michigan “Rose in Mouth” Limited Edition is for Wolverines fans who want a piece of the Michigan legend on their bar. It commemorates one of the most famous images in college football: Charles Woodson with a rose in his mouth during his 1997 Heisman Trophy-winning season at the University of Michigan, a season that capped Michigan’s national championship run before his Pro Football Hall of Fame career. Woodson Whiskey, founded by Woodson after his playing days, is the Official Whiskey of the University of Michigan, and this bottle is a licensed Michigan collectible with a bourbon worth drinking inside.

It’s a limited-edition, commemorative release, and it comes with a Rose in Mouth Michigan display cylinder, which makes it a gift with real presence for a tailgate, a game-day watch party, or a Michigan alumni gift.

What’s in the Bottle

The bottle holds a 3-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 90 proof (45% ABV). It’s an approachable, spicy-sweet bourbon with corn-forward sweetness, charred oak, and baking spice, built for sipping neat or over a single large ice cube.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Sweet corn and charred oak with baking spices and vanilla, with a hint of roasted pepper and nuts.

Palate: Honey, toasted ginger, vanilla, and black cherries, with black pepper and baking spices and oak. Buttery caramel builds toward the finish, with a note of spicy pepper.

Finish: Long and dry, with oak, pepper, and a caramel loop.

Food Pairings

The honey, cherry, and baking spice in this bourbon pair well with tailgate food: barbecue, burgers, bratwurst, smoked wings, and chili. It also goes well with aged cheddar, cherry pie, pecan pie, and dark chocolate.

Serving Suggestions

At 90 proof, it’s easy to sip neat or over a large ice cube. It also works well in an Old Fashioned, a Whiskey Sour, or a bourbon and ginger ale for game day. Many fans keep the bottle and display cylinder sealed as a collectible and open a standard bottle for pouring, but the whiskey is made to be enjoyed.
