J.P. Wiser's Old Fashioned Whisky Cocktail

Product Description

J.P. Wiser's Old Fashioned: The Classic, Ready When You Are

J.P. Wiser's Old Fashioned Whisky Cocktail brings over 165 years of Canadian whisky-making history into a ready-to-serve format. J.P. Wiser himself was a New York native cattle breeder who moved to Canada in the 1870s, originally entering the whisky business simply to secure grain to feed his cattle, before going on to become a genuine pioneer of Canadian whisky. Today, the brand is produced by Hiram Walker & Sons at their Windsor, Ontario distillery, and this ready-to-serve Old Fashioned has earned Gold at both the 2021 Canadian Whisky Awards and the 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

How J.P. Wiser's Old Fashioned Whisky Cocktail Is Made

This cocktail is built on double-column distilled Canadian whisky blended with orange essence, aromatic bitters, and natural sweeteners, crafted specifically to deliver the classic Old Fashioned profile without any measuring, muddling, or mixing required. It's bottled at 35% ABV (70 proof), ready to pour straight over ice.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Orange zest, caramel, and warm baking spice, with cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove.

Palate: Smooth and balanced, with honeycomb sweetness, orange, rye bread, and hints of clove and black licorice.

Finish: Warm and slightly sweet, with lingering baking spices.

Food Pairings

The orange and honeycomb character in this cocktail pairs well with roasted nuts, a charcuterie board, or dark chocolate desserts. Its warm spice notes also complement a spiced pecan pie.
