正如其名，“小书”系列威士忌的制作过程漫长而艰辛，真正考验了我的调酒技艺。或许我给第一批威士忌取名为“简单”（Easy）有点不吉利。抛开迷信不谈，我确实在实验室里投入了大量时间。我尝试了近四十种不同的配方。但最终，所有的努力都得到了回报，我们酿造出了一款独一无二的威士忌，我为此感到无比自豪。Noe Simple Task威士忌的酿造之路始于2017年初我参观加拿大酒厂之行。我喜欢去世界各地旅行，了解他们是如何酿造烈酒的。在那里，我品尝到了一些直接从橡木桶中取出的优质加拿大威士忌。它们所展现的果香和花香深深吸引了我。我渴望了解更多。同年晚些时候，我再次前往加拿大，深入学习他们的酿造工艺，并品尝了更多佳酿。这对我来说是一次全新的体验。我在肯塔基州长大时所熟悉的威士忌酿造规则和法律，在加拿大并不适用。但我带着灵感回来后便开始调配威士忌。虽然加拿大威士忌的风味激起了我的兴趣，但我的心依然属于肯塔基。因此，将两者的精华融合在一起的想法令我兴奋不已。我知道我想用肯塔基纯黑麦威士忌进行调配，于是开始尝试不同的加拿大威士忌，试图从中提取出那些果香和花香。肯塔基的威士忌使用多种不同的橡木桶进行陈酿，这让我有机会尝试各种不同的风味。我一直在寻找一种能够使调配更加圆润，并真正展现美国和加拿大威士忌各自细微差别的威士忌。最终，我发现40年的威士忌和13年的黑麦威士忌完美地帮助我实现了我的目标——一款真正平衡、精致，余味悠长、风味浓郁的威士忌。
