这些木条被用来将原桶强度、完全成熟的Maker's Mark威士忌在肯塔基州洛雷托Maker's Mark酒厂的石灰岩酒窖中，于特制的橡木桶中陈酿九周。该橡木桶中装有这10块用于陈酿的木条。之后，这款威士忌以高达109.1度的酒精度装瓶，仅生产了246瓶。
