Jefferson 的命名是为了向托马斯·杰斐逊致敬，他勇于突破界限的精神与 Trey Zoeller 的精神相呼应。Trey Zoeller 与他的父亲 Chet（一位著名的波旁威士忌历史学家）于 1997 年创立了这家公司。

杰弗逊海洋陈酿系列的第三款威士忌于2014年秋季发布，其香气和口感以浓郁的葡萄干和柑橘香气为主，甜美可口。随后，肉桂、肉豆蔻和香草的香料气息逐渐显现，波本威士忌的辛辣感带来一丝温暖，而酒体则如丝绒般柔滑。余味中，香料和葡萄干的香气萦绕不散，柑橘的清香再次浮现，辛辣感逐渐消退，最终留下淡淡的甜味和果香，令人回味无穷。
