伍德福德珍藏黑麦威士忌的酿造是一个严谨的过程，需要运用 5 种不同的元素来创造其独特的个性和风味。
伍德福德酒厂从自家深层石灰岩井中取水，与玉米、大麦和黑麦混合捣碎。捣碎后的谷物在业内最小的柏木发酵罐中，使用特制酵母进行发酵，将糖分转化为酒精。发酵液被泵送到蒸馏室，由三台来自苏格兰的铜制蒸馏器进行三次蒸馏，直至酒精纯净清澈。
接下来，酒液会被放入由酒厂内部制桶师精心打造、烘烤和炭化的全新美国白橡木桶中陈酿。这些酒桶被存放在温控酒窖中，以最大限度地保留酒液的风味。酒桶会缓慢地赋予酒液微妙的层次感和浓郁的深琥珀色。每桶酒液都会定期接受首席酿酒师的品鉴；只有当他确认时，才会将其命名为伍德福德珍藏纯黑麦威士忌。
