伯恩海姆原味纯小麦威士忌是禁酒令以来推出的首款真正意义上的全新美国纯威士忌。天堂山酒厂的首席酿酒师们看到了为当今威士忌鉴赏家带来独特味觉体验的契机。伯恩海姆威士忌上市之初，是唯一一款以冬小麦为主要原料的纯威士忌，赋予其柔和甜美的口感和中等的余味。作为一款纯威士忌，它符合波本威士忌或黑麦威士忌的相同标准——在新烧焦的橡木桶中陈酿至少两年，酒精度低于160度（44.5% ABV），且不含任何色素、香精或调和剂。
这款开创性的美国威士忌以伯恩海姆（Bernheim）之名命名，可谓实至名归。19世纪，怀揣梦想的德国移民先驱艾萨克·沃尔夫（Isaac Wolfe）和伯纳德·伯恩海姆（Bernard Bernheim）兄弟在肯塔基州路易斯维尔市创立了一家酿酒厂。自那时起，伯恩海姆酿酒厂始终如一地生产着以其卓越口感和品质而备受赞誉的威士忌。
