南澳堪称世界顶级西拉产区之一。在南澳境内，麦克拉伦谷和巴罗萨谷是历史最悠久、最具多样性的子产区，葡萄藤的历史可以追溯到19世纪30年代。这些地区独特的微气候赋予了Layer Cake西拉葡萄酒复杂而丰富的口感。我们的西拉葡萄酒精选自麦克拉伦谷和巴罗萨谷的葡萄园——从圣文森特湾沿岸的沙质土壤地块，到巴罗萨谷风力强劲、结出细小葡萄粒的红土丘陵。这些微气候赋予了我们丰富的风味，最终酿造出这款复杂、醇厚、饱满的葡萄酒。
气候：麦克拉伦谷一侧临海，另一侧与古老的山脉相连——具体而言，是圣文森特湾和阿德莱德山。由于暖空气被困在起伏的山丘间，麦克拉伦谷的气温受到海洋的调节。这些地块土壤深厚，出产的葡萄酒果香浓郁，口感饱满。巴罗萨谷的土壤则较为浅薄，呈红色，下层为石灰岩，正处于来自澳大利亚内陆的酷热和沙尘暴的直接路径上。葡萄藤难以生存，结出的果实个头小，皮厚，酿造出的葡萄酒结构饱满，风味浓郁。
