The finish has good length and features more fruit and spice with some oak showing through. If you’re a fan of sweeter reds, you’ll find a lot to like here. Smoking Loon Old Vine Zinfandel begins with spicy red berry notes and leather along with a good dose of menthol. The wine tastes simple and sweet with sweet blackberry and raspberry plus a nice layer of spice. Very mild tannins make it easy to drink.
