Stunning array of tropical fruits abound on the nose with hints of buttered brioche, smoke, licorice, and brown sugar. The palate is an endless interplay of sweet, nutty flavors balanced by deep molasses and nutmeg flavors to add balance while mango and spice linger on the tongue.

The Plantation Peru is an exceptionally transparent rum: Burned in the Destilerias Unidas SA de Peru on a Column Still, it was allowed to ripen for 12 years in its home in 200-liter bourbon barrels, before entering the cellars of the Château de Bonbonnet / Cognac emigrated. Here he rested once again for two years in 350 liter French oak cognac barrels. As is common with many plantation rums, it is lightly sugared, in this case 12 grams per liter.
